Due to the latest topics in this subject I decided to share my little experience with them.

The red stag from the picture was shot last march by my hunting buddy Mario using my 9,3 loaded with 250 grainers TSX.

It was a running shot at aprox. 180 metres, the bullet hit back in the spine, if you look careful you will see the shot. We finish it with a knife so there is no second bullet to show.







My opinion is that is a very good bullet to shoot animals from any angle.

And the TSX dit it again!

i killed one instantly at 250yards with a 303 british with a 150gr sierra prohunter only doing 2300fps at the muzzle. now i use the 300wsm with 150 and 165gr ballistic tips so far seem to work perfectly not a complaint about them.

can imagine with a tsx 250gr bullet out of a 9.3x63 did! probably hit him with some force

Uruguayan mauser action (better than the argentinian because has a wider magazine), with yes, an argentinian floor plate.

Lothar Walther barrel 23,5" long, NECG sights, Talley mounts and a Kahles 1,5-6x42 with a german N°4 reticle with illuminated circle and dot inside.

If I remeber correct the loads were 250 TSX grainers ontop of 54 grains of IMR 4895. I'm not sure but velocity must be around 2,500 or 2,600 f/s ????

First shot was missed and we saw a cloud of dust around 5 metres behind the deer, second shot (last chance as the deer was disappearing behind a "little hill") was aimed like 5 metres infront (it was a quarter away shot)hit him in the back and believe me, the deer went down like hitted by a truck !!!
