If anyone is interested . I've worked up a few loads for the 30-06 using the 180gr.partition. Since I shoot a old remington 742 woodmaster bdl, I need to be just a little on the cautious side. But these are efective on deer out to 300yds.(so far). As for all, seating depth may vary. Imr4831 55.5gr. 180gr.nosler partition 2650fps Imr4320 47gr. 180gr. '' '' 2600fps Imr4064 48.5gr. 180gr. '' '' 2700fps I have an h380 load and a h414 load but I cant seem to find them at this time I'll pass those along to you all at a later time. "If winning isn't important? WHY keep score...

I was just given a 742 from the relatives after Father IN Law died 10yr. ago , They said they never shot it so someone who shots should have it , GREAT!! It was so gummed up it wouldn't funtion so I took it apart and cleaned all the crap out of it. I don't think father in law cleaned it the last few years ether . It works great now I've only shot 10 rounds Factory out of it so far , need to start reloading for it so Thanks For The Info !!!

My only suggstion, is NOT to use 4831 in a 742, as the pressure curve is too high at the gas port, and really slams the action back. Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Good advice from Terry, you shouldn't use any slow burner in a gas operated rifle. The 4064 load should be good as well as some of the 4895 loads. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia?
