It is even hard to find a remington rifle in a remington .260.. i thought for sure the CDL would have one by now it being a remington round. IS it just me or is the .260 fadding out,.. Vines,
Kimber chambers the 260 rem. in both the classic and Montana. Sako chambers the 260 in the model 75.

Vines, look on gunbroker or a couple of other auction sites. If you have a short action you could have it rebarrelled ie: er shaw or pac nor or shilen etc.

Believe it was last year Rem offered the .260 in the 700 CDL SF (stainless/walnut) model. Should still be avail on the various internet gun auction/listing sites. Of course Ruger has discontinued the M77 MkII all weather models and have yet to bring out the .260 in the new Hawkeye. Best of luck in finding one.

If you have an action, just rebarrel it to 260 from anyone of the barrel makers..

I have 2 of the Rugers, one Rem VLS and a couple of spare take off barrels from Rem VLSs..

I am also ordering a barrel to put on a Model 70 Short Action which is part of a switch barrel set up I am doing...

try to get a 1 in 8 twist if at all possible

Was at the gun shop last week and he just got 2 of the new rem limited edition 260's in.One of my buddies got one I thought he was going to bring it to the range this morning so I could take a look at it but he didn't.I think he said it was $900.
Said he hadn't made up his mind whether he was going to shoot it or not.
I just got through putting a shelin barrel(1:8 twist)on a savage action and it shoots.
If savage came out with one in 8 twist at a good price that would be a bargin.

Savage cataloged the 260 for a year or 2 in a couple of different styles of short action 110 series rifles. I've owned 2 of the 11Fs and still have 1, plus a 11FNS with an AccuTrigger that has an Adams & Bennett 260 barrel on it that I bought from MidwayUSA. Awhile back, GPC has a few Savage factory barrels in 260, but I never got around to buying 1. The A&B barrels that I bought from MidwayUSA were all 24" blued CM and have a slightly smaller/thinner/lighter contour than the factory barrels, so you can use them in the factory barrel channels. The 1 in 9" twist 22-250 and 260 shoot very good groups, while the 1 in 10" twist 257 Roberts barrel shoots 1.5 MOA groups on average. It does a little better with 75 to 90 grain bullets and a little worse with 115 to 120 grain bullets.
