In Sweden it has always (well during the 20th century) been THE MOOSE caliber, but still many Moose hunters prefer the in other parts of the world very very obsolete 9,3x57...
My friend and I will be both hopefully be the proud owners of 9.3x62 cz rifles in the coming months we will be the only ones with them in our area, can't wait !!

Picking up my CZ 550 American 9.3x62 on Wednesday. My dealer asked me what caliber the rifle I ordered was in and I told him 9.3x62mm Mauser, he said yeah that was what he had received, thought it was a mistake or something as he had never heard of the cartridge. Ordered up some Lapua 285gr ammo for it and am egger to shoot this little sweet thing. Sight it in then go and test it on some hogs.
This weekend will be spent constructing ammunition for the CZ-550 that came home on Monday. I'm also getting a bullet mold made up for the rifle, because I think this caliber is just about the best potential cast bullet hunting caliber available.

I've had my CZ 550 American in 9.3X62 for about 3 months and load 250 grain Wooodleighs and 250 grain Nosler partitions. I love it! Recoil is next to nothing in the field and at the range it is like a 30.06 or less. And accurate beyond belief for that large of caliber and price. I won't be selling mine or trading it off.
