Vapo: I tried right clicking on the image as you instructed, a menu does come up, however, there is no "copy image location". This is par for the course with me. Windows 7 BTW Jerry NRA Benefactor Life Member

Here is one way. Set up a Google G-mail account(free) and you get to use Picassa image hosting(free). Copy the images from your PC to Picassa. Then do the "copy image location".

Ok Vapo: How do I post all the addresses on one reply, or do I have to post each picture as a new reply?? You know, one of the guys asked me to post pictures of my 6.5-06 months ago. It seems he really likes rifles built on Springfields, but I have to admit, I been duckin it. Jerry NRA Benefactor Life Member

Vapo, also, when I click on the picture you posted for me,all I get in the menu is "copy". When I right click on the address as in my first post, I get copy shortcut. Symantics, maybe and that's why I am confused. Jerry NRA Benefactor Life Member

Post them one at a time if that's what you have to do! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Winston Churchill

Here is another way to do this, and it works on all websites, all the time. Learn one line of HTML code. [img]http://www.hunt101yaddatadda[/img I omitted the last closing bracket so you can see the code. What you got is "". easy peazzy. No stupid boxes to fill in. Done. Oh and And nice gun. I wish the industry went with 6.5-06 and 7mm-06 instead of the 25-06 and 270. Such is life,... At least we got the 308 family right.

Thanks for getting all the pictures set up for me. Now I can talk about this rifle a little bit. The action is a 1903 Remington Modified. I would have restored the rifle to original, as the stock and hand guard had been "cut down", but someone drilled the receiver for a Lyman 48 type sight. I drilled and tapped the receiver, and did the bolt work myself, added a Timmney Trigger, and sent the rifle off to ER Shaw for barreling. A little side note on the barrel. I had Shaw barrel a 700 Remington in 35 Whelen, and it is a tack driver. This barrel on the other hand required a lot of work to make it shoot. All others since then have been Pac Nor's. The stock is from Bishop, and I inletted, bedded, and finished it, before I gave it to Larry Kmoch, up in Rawlins Wyoming, for checkering and additional barrel work. Larry was my guide on an antelope hunt up there, and I used this rifle to take a nice antelope under Larry's direction. The rifle shoots .75 to 1" 3 shot groups regularly.I enjoyed building it, and get great satisfacion out of doing my own work. Jerryu NRA Benefactor Life Member

Jerry, What bullet are you shooting and what kind of velocity are you getting? I am in process of having one built on a 1909 Argentine. I can't wait to get it in my hands and start laying down some deer and goats with it.

Surestrike: My bullet of choice is a 120 Sierra Game King. 54IMR4831/3165fps/es 13.7. Work up to this load, as your barrel chamber, may be tighter than mine. I have shot over 700 rounds thru this rifle testing, and shooting a few critters. Because I had to have the barrel "RECHAMBERED" and set back, as ER Shaw had cut the throat so long, I couldn't reach the lands with any bullet other than a 160 grain, once that was accomplished, it began to perfrom as I had expected. Excellent on antelope, I also shoot coyotes with it. NRA Benefactor Life Member

Fourbore: I kind of agree with you on the 6.5/06 and the 7mm/06, although my favorite cartridge is the 270 Winchester. My goal was to build all the popular cals on the o6 case starting with 6mm. I have acquired the: 6, 6.5,27,30,33, and the 35 Whelen. The fly in the ointment has been the 338/06, I have not been happy with that one compared to the 35 Whelen. Still it is a goal I am sure I will one day acheive. Thanks Jerry NRA Benefactor Life Member
