I have 2 scouts and a HB they all shoot very well. The 308 Scout will shoot on a good day 3 shots into 3/4" at 200yds. The 376 Steyr is a attention getter but a lot of power in a small package. The HB on a good day is a 3/8" or so at 200yds. The SBS action isn't the smoothest but usually feeds well. I kind of like the tang mounted safety with the bolt lockdown, but be carefull undoing it with a deer near -don't let it snap up too loudly. The magazines are handy. The triggers take some twiddling to get them where you like them. They can be adjusted to a 1 or 2 stage with a very good if not great letoff. If you can find one at a price you like in a caliber you want I would recommend one. They aren't your everyday rifle but sometimes a little different is good. It's likely to be very accurate........DJ

Couple of questions for you gentlemen, if you please? What would be the value of a very lightly used camo SBS in a standard cal? Is the SBS the model with the "pressed-in" barrel? Does the spacer system work like it's designed to? TIA, Dutch.

I've got a .376 Pro-Hunter. It is a nice, light, handy, accurate rifle. Will shoot sub-MOA with both jacketed and cast bullets. Safety is a little tricky at first, but once you begin to recognize what the correct "feel" of its operation is, it is a very handy safety in the woods. Around this neck of the woods they are considered an almost ideal "coast range" Roosevelt elk cartridge and rifle. I wish they made one in .416 WSM (.416 Ridgewalker) <G> Alberta Canuck
