I had to make this post, especially for Ol' Hot Core, maybe RC too!. My son Steve, drew an archery tag for cow elk, near Williams Arizona. Now I know this will drive Hot Core Nuts, but the shot was @ 20yds, and the cow was down and out within 10 paces. DRT. Too bad it wasn't with the 270 Winchester, it would have only moved 1 pace, LOL~! I will post some pics in the next couple days, and then, I'll post some pics of my elk hunt on the 24th. Now I know some of you guys will knock us for shooting cows, ok with us, and your privilege. You know, I have never eaten any cow elk meat that was NASTY, like some of the bulls. I am sure I will have a shot between 20 yds, and 150 yds. Piece of cake. 20 to 50 yds, head shot, after that 3 ribs back. I'll keep the posts fresh,as things happen. Regards to All!! Jerry PS who needs a super loudenboomer, when you can make these kind of shots? NRA Benefactor Life Member

Did he "hip shoot" the bow like 500N does on all his charges??? Went 10 paces??? Obviosly "not enough" cutting width and bow power. ----- BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Steve!
