Barf.

What are they smoking at Nosler?

So they say it is the fastest 7mm out there now.

Is it bigger than the 7mm RUM? If its not then it sure as hell won't be faster.

I understood the 26 Nosler to be on a shortend Rum case. What case does the 7mm use?

Seems to me the guy running with these rounds is about 20 years late for the party.

I think the Lazeroni Firebird would be the fastest 7mm

Faster or not....when the Nosler 26 came out I think I remember saying the .284 would be a better LR bullet in that case

Once reamers become available I might forget all about the .280AI build I have put off these past couple years

Just looked at the Nosler website - "fastest 7mm cartridge commercially available today". That's their legal out...

cuckoo So Nosler wants to create a slightly improved 7mm Dakota. That would be great, if some other company made brass. I just dont see the point of getting a Nosler super mag if brass is going to be more expensive then Dakota's offerings.

Marketing, in the 21st Century is a wonderful thing. Especially if it is not examined too closely with regards to reality.

What do the democrats call that, "parsing, or spin"?

Nosler's pricing is not much different than I paid for 375 Ruger brass directly from Hornady just after its introduction.

I have heard that Nosler's brass is not as soft as Hornady's brass as well as better piece to piece quality. Perhaps others can verify or disprove this; I cannot.

The 28 sounds like a sexy round alright... but I've been shooting the good old 7 mag out to 1400 yards for the past couple of years, and don't think any more speed is going to make much difference. Barrel life is short enough as it is.
