Mark ClarkI'm tired of......
We get customers asking "What do I need if I have a shot at an elk at 1000 yards?"
Better hunting skills.

Enough cover and daylight to get the distance down to 100 yards...

Some people watch too much TV and spend too little time on the range! Hence the crazy questions you get.
On the other hand, Those who haven't shot at distance (read whatever into this you want) think that no one can or should shoot game at distance.... and NO, I wouldn't send one at an elk at 1000 yards.
In some terrain, it's just impossible to close the distance on every elk you see so you either have a MAKE-ABLE shot or you don't.

Big Wonderful WyomingHmm, no wind, and I have personally shot at that distance. No discernable wind at target, and I have the time to work out the math and verify it with my phone.
1000 yards is still a very long shot on an animal.
We have a 1000 yard range in Las Cruces, but I still doubt I would do it.

wheleniteI'm tired of not being able to buy what I want, either at a gun store or online. I worked 45-60 hours a week for almost 50 years to be able to afford things, and now that I'm retired and have the time to do stuff, I can't get the things I want.
I guess it shows how spoiled we are in this country.

Gringo CazadorI'm tired of to much to list but will throw a few out for starters.
All the 6.5 rounds are good dont get me wrong and they've been around a long time.
But I am tired of all the 6.5 CM hype by the manbun fanboys in their skinny jeans that barely fit over their metrosexual Tecovas city boy cowboy boots. That drive Honda Ridgelines and cook on easyback oven/pellet grills. Which just recently discovered firearms and all they know is what they read on the internet plus a few times at a range. They think they can drop an Elk or spotted Unicorn out past 1000 yards. Cause Hornady loads majic pixy dust in 6.5 CM.
I have no idea why my wife thinks I'm cynical!!!
With all that said, I think I will buy or build a 6.5 PRC so I can claim better ballistic than a CR.

4WDI am so tired of the manufacturer’s who are promoting on their outdoor programming the shooting at
game animals at 700,800,900,1000 yards. The programs are actually filming the wounding of game animals shot at these distances. They are acting if they hit and wound a animal at these distances it’s some big accomplishment , the same as a humane proper kill. Just think, these programs are just showing us what they consider their best edited footage. We would be appalled to see some of their real footage of their long range shooting debacles, gut shooting majestic game animals at these distances, group shooting and loosing the wounded animals . During COVID I’ve been able to view a large assortment of these long range television shows. Some of the worst are Best of the West and Steve’s Outdoor Adventures. As others have said they are treating these game animals as targets. The company’s who sponsor these trash programs should be boycotted .Not good for our sport. Slob hunters.

Gringo Cazador4WD,
Its been quite a few years back, but I had a customer that I am pretty sure once a game animal was spotted would back up as in get to get a longer shot just to see if they could hit it.
Using match grade bullets, not hunting bullets.

I agree. Steve Whoever is one of the worst “bubba’s” out there. His 600 yard shot on an elk with the 6.5 creed, using some electronic scope and a Bergera whatever made me turn it off to watch the Property Brothers...

p dog shooterI am tired of people who can not do some thing their selves.
Telling every one else they can not do it.
Like you can not sneak up on a turkey.
You can not still hunt hogs.
You can not shooting running deer.

crsheltonSeriously - tired of Internet forum users that are too lazy, ignorant, or bored to simply use an Internet search BEFORE asking a question on a forum such as this!

I’ve seen John Lazzeroni do just that...

drongoLazy outdoor writers who overuse phrases like "of a lifetime" as in: "trophy of . . ."; "hunt of..."; "shot of...". And write lists instead of stories like "Ten tips for late season bucks"; "Seven great cartridges for plains game"; "twelve gear items for spring turkeys".
Where are today's Jack O'Conner, John Jobson and Robert Ruark?
