Hello from Scotland~ I have just noticed that the CZ 527 carbine 18.5" is chambered in .223 and 7.62x39. Thought it might make a dandy little, light kicking, deer rifle for woods. What can the "reloader" make of this little round ? Bullet weight selection, velocity, in bolt action rifles ? Regards Englander

Check out Back Issues at sixgunner.com. A guy named Paco Kelly has articles there about handloading the 7.62x39. He claims it's a rimless 30-30 on steroids. A CZ carbine in 7.62x39 would make a neat little rig like that, but I'd really like to see them in 35 Remington like Griffin & Howe used to make. Hope this helps, Okie John.

Great little deer round for say 150 paces. Think 30/30 with pointy bullets.... JMO, Dutch.
