OK all, in the vein of ideal battery etc. what are the calibers you desire or are missing? in no particular order or great need mine are a.264 winmag and a.300 win mag and a 220 swift. have the big bores covered and the serious medium bores, do need a .17 but thats already at the smiths (.17 rem)?????
I've got a gap between .223 and 30-06 that probably calls for a 6mm or quarter bore and nothing over 30-06, which could be remedied with a .338, .35 or .375, probably a 35 whelen or 375 H&H.

280 Remington, I've always wanted one, and just never saw a good deal on one or really had the need. I just always thought they would be the cat's meow. I like the 7mm bullets, and their big selection. I have other calibers that cover that same need as the .280, but I've wanted to experiment with one. Maybe someday. 7MM-08, also, I had one for a short time, and a shooting pal wanted it pretty bad, much worse than I, and I really liked it. I'd someday like to try another.
Got a 243WIN built for a gopher gun. 300WSM in final load development. Building a 280AI at the moment, and have pieces parts for a 35 something or other.
Would dearly like to have a long range rifle in the 6.5 category, but I'll probably end up building a 260REM for my son. He's only 3 right now, but they do grow up fast.......
