Will the 24/47 Yugo action fit into a standard 98 size stock or is it a shorter action? bewildered

The 24/47 action is of the intermediate length. You need a stock inletted for the M48 mauser.

Back before semi-inlets were readily available for the Intermediates many of us used 96 stocks. One advantage was that they were generally of slighter build.

Thanks guys. I like the idea of using the 96 stock to make a light weight walk about gun. I intend to put together a 7X57. It should be a classic. Thanks again.
