I'm thinking of buying a Tikka 7mm08. I know SS is more corrosion resistant, but are there any advantages to the blue over the SS? The difference in cost is $120.

No.

Buy the blue and a $12.00 can of Brownell Alumihyde II.

I have the Tikka T3 lite blue in 7mm-08 and am very happy with it.

Can't tell you which forum I saw it on, but in the past few days there has been a discussion that revealed that breaking a factory barrel loose is nearly impossible on the blued version; the SS version is easier to disassemble.

Buy the stainless!

You can still apply any type of spray on finish, giving you double protection!

I really like Duracoat. It is a spray on finish that comes is numerous colors and styles!
