Just one more Good reason to always have half a dozen 30-06's around.


Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

The barrel is the original 7.65mm thats been fancied up.
so the bore is .311 or .312 not 308. Should still shoot fine.

guy asked me one time, whats the best combo to take on a Plains game hunt to RSA? I told him 3 30-06s...He then asked one gun and Leopard and buffalo, I said well how about a box of solids for the buffalo..

I knew the guy and knew he would never go to Africa, he never did..

A .30-06 is my favorite light rifle. I've used various .30 calibre magnums, but I like the .30-06 best in that role.
