| Tom, They are similar to the standard Partitions with some differences: Unless otherwise noted, they are moly coated. They have a steel cup reinforcing the bottom partition. The bases are not not slightly tapered from crimping like the standard Partitions. The partition is located closer to the front of the bullet. They work about the same but with the partition farther forward, they don't expand as much and they retain more weight.

| Sodakhunter is on the money. I hope I'm wrong in your case but they didn't have a great reputation for accuracy. But, I would say "on game" performance will be more like an A-frame or a trophy bonded. One thing I learned a while back...even if a bullet isn't stellar accurate at 100 yds it still might do well at 2 & 300 yds. I guess what I'm saying is if you only get 1.5" groups at 100 and 3-4" at 300 that's probably just fine for such a tough bullet. |

| Is that a sale price? I found some on MidwayUSA for $4.99, but they are only 1.50 off That would be great for even just plinking.

I had no problems with my 270 Win, routinely getting 3 shot cloverleafs @ 100m. But that rifle is particularly good and the 270/150gr Partition Gold is the only one I have tried. Maybe others haven't been so lucky? I don't know enough about them to comment on the rest of the calibers/wieghts available, but the 270/150 seems OK. Cheers, Dave.
Cheers, Dave.

| That price for moly coated bullets is hard to beat. If you don't use the moly coated ones, the store on the Nosler site has 7mm Partition Gold Non Moly Coated on sale for $14 and change which is half price.

| I saw one used on a Zebra at 80 yards. It was a 160gr fired from a 7mm Remington Mag. A one shot kill with complete pass through on a broad side shot. |

| I see they are no longer available.....man that almost had to be a misprint. I think there was supposed to be a "2" in front of those numbers......$23.75 is more like it! |

| I have used them on whitetail, mule deer, hogs, caribou, elk, and 5 species of African game up to Kudu. It is my preferred big game bullet.
I have had stellar performance with them. I could not be happier. Not the absolute most accurate in my rifle, but it shoots very well. The performance on game has left nothing to be desired. The front mushrooms perfectly on small game and the shank remains intact for excellent penetration.
I have only recoverd 2 from game and they were picture perfect. Internal damage in all cases has been excellent.
I have shot more game with it that the regular partition, so I can't comment with authority on a comparison. But, in the few cases, it seems to penetrate a little better, definately reatins more weight, and the internal damage has been similar. I am was especially impressed with the straight line penetration, even when breaking heavy bone. |
