I have ended up with a bunch of Rembulk 130 grain .270 silvertip bullets. Can anybody tell me what they are good for? Are they accurate? How frangible are they? Will they penetrate? Do they blow up on contact? Advice appreciated.

Are you sure they're Rembulk? Silvertip sounds more like Winbulk (Winchester Silvertip) If thats what these are, they're OK for deer size game if you don't drive them too hard, no faster than standard Win .270 velocities IMHO. Steve.

If they are Rembulk, they should be Bronze Points. Silvertips are Winchester. I also have bulk Silvertips and they are very accurate. I have only had one seperate the lead from jacket. That was on a 185 lb. (dressed) buck on a neck shot. His neck was very swollen and thick. I used the sivertips exclusively for over ten years. I now use Rem. Corelokts in my 270 Win. I would not hesitate to shoot deer with the Silvertips, but would probably opt. for a partition or bonded type for elk size game. If they are the old Bronze point 130 grain bullets they are accurate and they work pretty well on deer size game. My grandfather used them for many years and when I inherited his .270 I shot several animals with the bronzepoint ammo that was still left from him. They leave a impressive exit hole>

If they are "silvertips" they're Winchester. Remingtons are bronze points as was previuosly mentioned. Very nice bullets. In politics as in theology! "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, But the heart of the fool to the left." Ecclesiastes 10:2
