Are they still made? Wasn`t it just a browning made during the time the usrac/winchester factory were down.

The Browning Long-Trac is the same rifle and has a much nicer fit and finish. I have a 7mm WSM Short-trac, and much prefer it to the Winchester equivalent. FWIW, I like the rifle quite well (I'm not an auto guy, generally speaking), as it's light and lively and reasonably accurate ( 2.5" at 200). The trigger is mediocre, as to be expected with an auto.

my uncle had 2. First was a .300 WM. Shot like sheeeeet. The second was a .300 WSM. Had alot of feeding issues with multiple bullets. Both went down the road. Wouldn't buy one if it was $50.

Warning: Trespassers will be shot.......survivors will be shot again...........

Browning has made a cocking device as a option for BAR to enable safer walking with a loaded rifle that can make it easyer to get a better trigger.
