Two reasons for the post. First, to say hello after just finding the forums and poking around a bit. And second, to share what I think might just be the best 'gun month' I've had, when I talk to household 6 about it, I can see her eyes gloss over as she goes on a mental vacation.
Picked up one of the new Rugers on a trade in 30-06 (which is a bit better than I was expecting) that lets me rebore my 721 to 35 Whelen. Found one of the few still NIB Tikka T3's in 6.5x55 left floating around. And last but not least, after about a year or so got my Hi-wall barrel (30-40) and new wood ( straight stock from treebone carving) and sent the first rounds of it's new life downrange.
