With an increased velocity 180 gr. factory load (2880 fps), which bullet would be the better choice, a Nosler Partition or a Trophy Bonded? Assuming my rifle shoots both with decent accuracy. Or, with the ranges being fairly short, should I stick the standard speed loads? If it matters, the game will be the larger African Plains animals. Or, with the ranges being fairly short, should I stick the standard speed loads? Thanks.

Either should work well but my choice would be the Barenes TSX in 180 grain or even 165 grain. Of the two you mentioned, I have only used the partition which has never failed me in any way.

You can never go wrong with the Partition. I do like the Trophy Bonded Bearclaw. In the 308 I have used the regular loads and the high energy loads with both bullets with excellent results. My wife used the standard 165gr Federal TB's on zebra, wildebest, and impala in Zim. She also used the Federal load with the Barnes MRX 180gr on 2 kudu and a giraffe [head shot]. All worked great.
