The 7x57 performance has no correlation with the .270, than the bang and they are both firearms. Please follow the advise posted above. Many variables, some human. The guys posting above are giving competent advise. Luck, Stephen | |||

Hublocker, you might want to shoot your rifle and load combo at 25 yards to see where it is impacting. Bumped up my charge to 58 grains and got a 1.5 inch group at 200 metres today, one inch above the bull. The 100 metre group is 2.9 inches above centre. Just thought I'd let you know how it turned out. | |||

That sounds about right. I've been shooting 150g Partitions with Rem neck sized cases, Federal 215 (magnum rifle) primers, 58.5g H4831 for 40 years. I get just over 3000 fps from a 22" barrel with no pressure signs.
