I was just looking through my new Sierra manual, which lists factory standard twist rates in the back. I came across the A-Bolt II in 257 Rob?!? Can anyone shed some light on this? Did Browning actually offer this combination? It would have be recently if it's the A-Bolt II. While I'm dreaming, if anyone can confirm whether it was also made in LEFTY, I'd probably start making calls to find and buy one on the spot. I love my 300WinMag Stainless Stalker. It's been incredibly accurate and fits me well. Thanks in advance, GFP

They did make one for a short run I believe. The bean counters didn't allow them to continue. I'm not sure of the year. Bob257

No, Browning doesn't make that caliber in left handed actions. I'm not even certain if they still make the .257Roberts. It's a shame since it's a terrific caliber. I also am a lefty but have some Remington 700's in right handed actions. It doesn't affect me at all since most of the cheekpieces sit low enough that we don't even notice them. Working the bolt can take some getting used to though. Best wishes. Cal - Montreal

It was offered in a right handed version of the original A Bolt ( ONE). Great rifle, and great caliber. Unfortunately everyone thinks they need a Magnum instead.
