| You are not making that much money. If you have a good shooting Remmy, keep it. Browning triggers are a pain. Browning barrels do not change out easily. If you want extra whistles and bells for the Remmy they are available. Brownings are VERY limited to aftermarket enhancements. The 30-06 has a wider range of applications. Bottom line, he probably wants to trade for a very good reason.

| Better the devil you know, than the devil you don't! If you want to play around with load development, ask him if he wants help finding a good load for his rifle. You may find the reason he wanted to trade is "Accuracy Envy". Just a thought, Doug |

| Right now the vote is 22-5 to keep the Remington. Seems pretty good advice one might say.

| I just checked with http://www.timneytriggers.com for the 2 rifles mentioned the rem trigger can be changed but the browning can have springs changed to lighten trigger pull. |

| If money is your only goal in the transaction and you can make money by selling the Browning to another purchaser go for it.
I would never trade a good shooting Rem or most any other rifle for an A Bolt unless I were moving it for more money. Plateau Hunter |

| If you have a rifle that is reliable and consistently shoots under 1/2" there is no way in heck I would get rid of it. That is exceptional accuracy from a factory rifle and not many high dollar customs in big game calibers will consistently do better. That being said, Brownings have a reputation for being accurate, well fitted rifles out of the box. Personally, Remington's feel better to me than Browings, but that's a personal decision. There is nothing wrong with experimenting with new rounds, so if that is your motivation, then do the trade.

| His reason for trading is that he wants a stainless synthetic, he states he is always afraid he's gonna scratch, ding and dent the browning. He also doesn't know how good the Remington shoots. Personally I don't really like either rifle. I would like to get a model 7ss in .308 or 7mm-08. But for $300 I couldn't pass the 700 up.

| A good shooting 06 for an unknown .270, Stay with your 06, if you want a .270 go find one, I have both rounds in excelent rifles but the A-bolts just don't do much for me anyway...tj3006

Right! If it was a Browning using the FN Mauser action, it would be a different story.......
