For those of you that use a 300 RUM have you ever used the Remington power level ammo? I'm thinking of getting either the level 1 150 Accutip or level 2 Core Lokt Ultra for groundhogs and just target practice and use my Nosler 180 grain Partitions for hunting since I dont reload I'm trying to save money and still shot my rifle

Since I reload, haven't used any of the power level stuff. Unless it's the only rifle you have, or you just want to practice with that particular rifle, the RUM is a pretty inefficient round to practice with and at factory prices, pretty expensive too.

I have shot all 3 power levels and found that the POI @ 100 yds is about the same. I used the level III in Namibia last year with the Swift 200 gr. A-Frames on everything from Kudu to Rock Hyarx. Very pleased with the results. On reloading Nosler Brass expanded the primer pockets after the 1st reload, but Rem Brass gives me 4 or 5 reloads without expanding the primer pockets. Larry

Hey Tom, What are you going to do with all that brass if you dont reload it? I'd be glad to take it off your hands if you don't want it. I haven't used the power level ammo but do love the 300 RUM with Berger bullets. God Bless, Louis
