| I'll bite.....it's a accelerator. A saboted bullet in a .30-06 case.

| It looks just like my 7X65R Sellier & Bellot "Special Cutter Soft Point".

| My first thought was something European or military. |

| they tried to make the bullet look like a TUG or some such. i've got 5 boxes of the 7x57 stuff w/ that bullet. was curious so i pulled one and sectioned it. completely conventional in every respect. in fact, the jacket fell off before i got completely thru. my recollection is it was very thin. |

| Hey will, How'd that S&B 7x57 shoot? Cheeper than Dirt sells it for $10.00 a box of 20. Seems better than some of the mil-surp. Bob |

| i won't buy any more. same syndrome as some 22-250's i bought - their qc is so erratic that case length fan from less than "trim to length" to more than max. all within one box of 20. i think when i got these (they're on my way home so no shipping costs) i bought them for the brass because as i recall, 5 boxes at the time were $40 with tax and i couldn't get 100pcs brass and 100 bullets for that.
i suppose they shot ok for practice ammo but my 7x57 is on a mauser and the bbl seems to have a tight throat. any case near max lgt won't chamber so abt 1/3 of these i have to cull. |

| Manhasset, I shot about 5 boxes of these threw my 7x65R and my 9.3x74R double rifle. All feed well and exracted well. I don't reload so the brass was trashed when done. But for the price they worked for me. I haven't tried to hunt with them, I'll reserve that for a better bullet.

| Yep. looks like a 7x64mm S&B SPCE round. I discovered them in late 2003, and my rifle loves them! Worked perfectly on an Oryx and a Impala in the RSA in 2004! LLS |
