I was wondering if anyone knew the ballistics on the factory 160 gr nosler partition? I sighted it in with 140 gr core locks.I'm heading into a deep hole after some elk in the morning and the 7mmlss is lighter than my 300 ultra in the sendero.

I don't have the 7mm ultra mag I have Rem 7mm Mag
and my 160 gr bullets go 3000 FPS. I have the 300 RUM & 338 RUM but no 7. Hope this helps!

My 338 Rum is what I used for bear hunting. I really like it. I use RL25 for my reloads. That rifle will reach out and get the game. I had a brake put on it for shooting at the range. For hunting I take it off. Recoil isn't to bad when not at a bench. As far as accurate shooting goes, at 150 yds the bullets holes were touching.
