Has anyone shot or know anything about the Lazzeroni offering in the Sako or Savage in these rounds? The artical in Riflrshooter this month has me strongly leaning towards one.
I own the Sako TRGS in Warbird. I have only killed two animals with it and both were last year, a moose in B.C. and a nice whitetail here in Wa. I shoot 180 gr noslers out of mine and it is very accurate. Honest 1 inch groups at 100 yds. It could probably be better than that but I don't have the eyes I used to have. I love shooting it but be forwarned, it snorts pretty good when you trip it off!!
Just got a few flyers from John Lazzeroni today and one of them shows a September Sales Promotion for the Savage 16LZ in the 7.82 Patriot (the short .30)....price is $499.99 until the end of September....this is, I believe, a savings of $300 over the regular price.
As to accuracy limitations, everything I've read plus several conversations with John indicate these inexpensive Savage rifles are amazingly accurate.
