Wwhen I bought a used M70 338 BOSS couple years ago and couldn't find any info, I wound up calling Browning in Ogden UT I think it was and got some very basic settings based on generic bullet weights from their Customer Service Dept. I also bought a CR tube since the Winnies did not come with them. The CR (Controlled Recoil) tube does not interfere with the tuning system but is a closed tube that does nothing to reduce the recoil but eliminates the back wash noise from the standard vented tube. I had great luck using the settings in the owners manual. I had a 270 bar that was unbelievable.....easily shot 1" and under with any ammo I fed it....hope yours is even better.

I used the recommended settings as a starting place and then used trial and error to find the 'sweet spot' for my BOSS equipped guns. Their both Win. M 70's with different barrel lengths and contours from your A-Bolt so the setting for my guns wouldn't help you much. Trial and error will take some ammo and some patience but I think you'll find it worth the trouble. The best group four shot group I ever shot with my M.70 in .270 Win. at 96 yards was one ragged hole. Under 1" at 100 is the norm. I usually use a CR instead of the muzzle brake when I'm hunting to save my ears. The CR at the same setting as the brake gives me the same aim point and group size.

Thanks Guys, I found a video on Browning's Website that was very thorough. It would be great if the video came with the rifle and it would probably generate a lot more satisfied Browning customers. Maybe they're watching.
