I'm considering adjusting the trigger to a lighter touch on my 300 WSM. It shows how to do it in the manual. Is this pretty much fool-proof, or will I end up wishing I'd never screwed with it?

Before, I've always just kept a gun as it comes out of the box. The pull on the A-Bolt seems a little heavy to me.

Just do it !!! I did it to my A Bolt and got a nice 2 1/2 pound trigger. It's pretty foolproof.
