Any truth to the rumor that Ruger is coming out with the African in 9.3X62..??? To tell the truth I would venture to say it's not so... Might steal some of the thunder from their new 375.. MopaneMike

I sure like the Idea, However I think the standard hawkeye with a set of back up sites would be fine ! ...tj3006 freedom1st

With the relationship that Ruger and Hornaday have it is not impossible to envision a 9,3 bolt action from Ruger with Hornaday ammo since they have the components avalible. But sice the 9,3 would pinch some of the sales of the .375 Ruger I really don't see it happening. But who would have thought we would have Ruger No.1's in 9,3x74R?? Aleko Hits count, misses don't

I checked out the Ruger Hawkeye African at a local gunshop. I like the gun. I would buy one in 9.3x62 without hesitation.

In an old Ruger catalogue that I have, they use to make a 270,30/06 and 338 in the "Express" which is similar to the "Magnum". This would be nice in 9.3x62. ozhunter

Would be nice.....but I'll bet it is just a rumor. Started with wishful thinking. What I'd REALLY like to see is that offering in a left handed rifle...not THAT is REALLy wishful thinking. If I want one I will jut have to build it myself

There is a 9.3x74R. The x62 is a bolt action equivelent and Nosler loads the 9.3x62. You never know with Hornady and Ruger, they're on a "building" phase.

Hope this is true, make it on the lighter rifle with nice sights and give it a companion .338-06 while we're wishing. A shot not taken is always a miss
