I'm looking at a used Model 70 LTW in 280Rem. I have no experience with Model 70's, is this a good/great model? Drawbacks? Buy it on the spot? Thanks.

I like mine just fine although it is in 270 Win. 280 is an excellent choice.

Are you referring to a Classic LT ? If so it's a very nice rifle. The stock is the best part, while not fancy, it feels like it was built just for me I've owned two of these and despite what others have posted, I found that both of mine feed extremely well. If I was a one rifle owner this one might be it for me.

Thanks guys. I've got the bug for a Long Action rifle so this might be the one.
