Well, got two Cooper model 52's ordered, and the first one is here, it's the Synthetic stock, Jackson Hunter style, with Chrome Moly action and Stainless barrel. A shock to some, they're both in .270 Win.

Trigger is good, but a touch of grind to it, maybe it will massage in, but the manual says, 'have your gunsmith adjust it', wish it was user adjustable, but we'll see, Lyman trigger gauge says it is at a touch under 3 lbs. which is great in my book.

Got Talley mounts on the way, will be trying one of the new Nikon Monarchs on it if the 2 I ordered get here next week, otherwise, it gets a Swaro 3.5x10x42 I've got on standby.

It functions very smoothly, and I am really looking forward to my walnut stocked version, due sometime in October.

This rifle has a lot of the features I like, 26" barrel, 3 lug bolt, detachable box mag (straight line feed) and a clean stock design.

The test target is like most Coopers, one little bitty hole, shot with a 36X leupy bench scope.....I'll be looking forward to getting her to the range in the next couple of weeks.

Fish,

Congrats on receiving your 52. I'm also curious how yours shoots. I have a 52 Custom Classic on order in .270 win also. Is your second 52 a wood stock version? I'm also trying to figure out what scope to put on mine. I hunt primarily with .270 and am anxious go get mine too.

Sean, the second one is in fact a custom wood stocked one from Pats Luxus Cooper. It is basically the same rifle, except CM barrel, and wearing walnut. I'm an over the top .270 nut, and don't have any that won't flat shoot! I'll let you know, I'm planning on getting to the range with the first one soon.

Regards--Don

Tom, I didn't, he didn't have one by the time I got there, so I ordered 'em from Pats Luxus Cooper.

The new store looks good.
