Great rifles! But some of us don't like the synthetic stock. And maybe the replacement magazines are bit pricey.

I'd really like a wood stock to replace the synthetic one - anyone make them?

And I have heard about replacement Bottom Metal allowing new metal magazines to be used on Remngton 700s, but what about the T3?

Anyone got any suggestions?

cheers!

I have a pattern stock I made up while making a stock for a friend. He's a lefty, if by chance you are to you are welcome to use it, modify as you wish as I swore I'd never do another. Smiler Here are some pics of the pattern and stock in progress.

As far as improving a T3. I would replace the plastic bolt shroud with a steel one, do an internet search, there seems to be plenty of them out there. Mine came with a wood stock, perhaps you could watch ebay and the forum for a takeoff stock. Also, I don't like the zippy sound that the bolt makes so I buffed mine to a high polish and I may eventually jewel the bolt. There is a guy on ebay that will jewel the bolt for around 60 bucks (though I will do mine myself).

The plastic bottom metal dosen't bother me too much, I don't think it's any worse than the aluminum stuff that's on most factory guns these days. And the mag works, so I personally don't think I'd mess with somehting that dosen't need fixin.
