I just noticed that Norma have started to load 140 gr Nosler BST for 7mm-08. Hopefully this will make Norma brass in 7mm-08 available for reloaders, even if Norma's homepage says nothing about it so far.

Regards,
Martin

Marterius, why not just neck down lapua 308 brass? isn't that as readily available to you as Norma? Just a thought

I wish either one would make RUM brass thumb

JustC, I neck down Norma 308 brass for all the ammo I use on the range, but I want proper headstamps for my hunting ammo. I use Winchester brass now, but would prefer Norma.

Regards,
Martin

Marterius, you should be in a good position to know this and sorry, but has nothing specifically to do w/ 7mm-08. but is a "rumor" for lack of hard lab testing over here that norma brass is "soft" and doesn't last well in reloading use. the only norma brass i've used is in weatherby cartridges and close to 200 pcs of 416 rigby's - the longevity of which is of great importance considering its expense.

so far my experience is it all seems to work and load just fine - no complaints at all but this is in brass with just 2 or 3 firings.

does your and your fellow shooters experiences prove this to be stuff and nonsense?

Norma's reputation here is very good; the brass stands many reloads. Appearently Weatherby have heard the same. Smiler
I think you will hear the same from most other memebers here if you ask about Norma brass in the Reloading forum.
