| jjmp, thanks, I think he has had a few slam fires when he has dry fired it, maybe he is just trying too hard for a really light trigger pull. |

| Alex, I've owned a Mark V for several years and as decent as my trigger is (after having been worked) it's still not a custom trigger. If he's having problems with slam fires then he definitely needs to add some sear engagement back in. There is a company that now makes a custom trigger for the Mark V's. I haven't heard any reviews good or bad, but I be they're decent triggers. They can be found here - http://www.jardinc.com/ |

| Timney has triggers for the Mark V. I think the price is around $125.

| I have just bought a new Accumark in 338-378 after hunting in Namibia with Mike Kibble and realising I was woefully undergunned My gunsmith reckons he can get the trigger under a pound, after installing a lighter return spring etc.The trigger assembly is in very tight in a WBY though.......... And Jard claim a 6-10oz pull for one of their kits for the MkV Blair. |

| I haven't emailed Jard but I'm wondering if that's not the weight of their spring, rather than the final trigger pull, if that makes sense. Doesn't seem right that their highest weight would be 20 oz. unless that was a measure of the spring itself. |

| I've got a Jard on my Wby SBGM. I haven't measured the actual pull, but it's light enough that a thought will release the sear. I don't really like the feel of the trigger shoe (kinda fat), and an over-travel screw would be a nice addition.
