I'm looking for opinions on the rem. ext range line of ammo for mule/ whitetail deer. Specifically the 135 gr 270 Weatherby load. A local shop has several boxes cheap on closeout and I want to know if it's as good as the other loads out there by PMC and Federal for deer. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I've used Rem's extended range ammo in a couple of calibers, not in 270 Wby though. Worked well in my 25-06, so-so in the 270 Win. As good as Federal or PMC? Well, how do you mean? Accuacy? Depends on the rifle. Terminal ballistics? Any game I had a right shooting with either caliber died dead. It was good ammo, no better or worse then other factory offerings. - Dan
