Why is it that the Sako 75 Hunter Stainless (stainless barreled action and walnut stock) has crossbolts (or what looks like them) regardless of caliber, but neither the Hunter nor the Stainless Synthetic do? Hunter: Hunter Stainless: Stainless Synthetic:

Those crossbolts are in the all walnut stocks made for size V actions (actions for magnum calibers). Synthetic stocks haven't crossbolts in any action size.

Man,is that hunter stainless not a beauty? For a $1000 dollar gun it is too pretty to hunt with, much like the Browning White Gold Medallion.

Finnlight, thanks for the explanation. I guess I've never seen a Sako in size V action except mine. They are not very popular where I live. Mine is a Hunter Stainless in .300 Winchester Magnum. I'll keep my eyes open in case I see another 75 in a magnum caliber anbd a wood stock. sII, if you shop right, you won't pay $1000 for a Hunter Stainless. And mine gets hunted hard, I don't buy gun case queens.
