Has anybody ever shot a SBGM in .270 WBY, 7mm WBY, or .308 Winchester? Before I make another huge investment I would like to know if this gun can shoot good, consistent groups. I handload all my ammunition. Any feedback would be appreciated.

One of my hunting partners just bought a SBGM in .300WBY for an elk hunt last October. a 3.5x10 Leupold topped the rifle. As you know, this is a very light rifle. Recoil was very sharp and his groups suffered. He then had an AccuBrake installed by the Weatherby service center, in this case Gander Mountain in Kenosha, WI, and the rifle was fine. Groups of 3/4" at 100 yards with factory 180 grain Barnes X with distinct recoil reduction. I shot the before and after rifle and can verify the results. I would like to think that the other calibers will perform as well. Overall, a very nice package for the hunter. Good Luck, RCG
