I just got a Pre 64 M70 in 300 H&H. Can anyone tell me the twist of the bbl? I imagine it would be the standard 1-10 but just wanted confirmation. SN is 153XXX

They were 1 - 10". I've never found reference to any of the pre-64 .300 magnum barrels offered with any variation of twist rate.

Speaking of pre 64s, I've had several guns on these actions but never messed with a factory one. Stupid question maybe but I have an original 300 H & H and don't want to bed it, whats the hot setup for the forend screw?
