canam,

The Kimber 84M action is designed around the 308 platform. It's magazine is designed for the 2.820 OAL max, it will not take a 3" cartridge. The action and barrel diameters as well as the bolt are scaled down much smaller than most short action 308's such as the Winchester and Remington which are just shortened long actions, so they can not take the larger 350 Rem Mag case and the bolt face can not be opened up for the larger rim diameter.

The 350 Rem Mag would fit in the short action 8400 (WSM calibers) which is the same size as the Winchester and Remington short actions.

What could be done on the 84M action is the 358 Winchester.

Hope this helps,
Headache

Thanks

I thought the 84m and 8400 were the same action.
So I guess the 84m would be best as a lightweight 358 win

The 84M was made for the 358 Win., it's just that the Rocket Scientists at Kimber haven't figured it out yet. If they ever do, I will be the the first in line. Big Grin Lou
