Browningguy: The entity or person you refer to did business as "Garrett Accur-lite", in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is no longer in business. "Garrett" was actually the name of the previous owner of the synthetic stock business. The fellow in Colorado Springs bought the company from Garrett and kept the name. His specialty was his own line of fiberglass stocks, but he also did rebarrel and general gunsmithing and specialized in building really light rifles. One day, about 7-8 years ago, the guy just closed up his shop [Garrett-Accurlite] and quit. I'd sure like to know what became of him, what he did with all his old stock blanks, patterns, molds, etc. I can't tell you anything authoritative about the quality of his metal work. The previous owner of the rifle you are referring to said it was pretty accurate, even with that skinny barrel. Have you thought of rechambering it to a more conventional chamber such as .280 Remington??? Jordan

Yep it's Garrett Accur. Lt. marked on the barrel. I have received an email from another member who has one of the stocks that he really likes but no further info. Jodan, wouldn't even think of rechambering to something conventional, where's the fun in that. It fits with all the other odd ball calibers I've got, like 300 Sherwood, 450 1 1/2" and 360 #5. Actually I guess this fits more with the "almost" conventional like 300 Savage, 7.65 Mauser, 9.3 x 72R.
