I have been lookin for a 7mag ,for quite sometime now, and today i bought a ruger hawkeye. its wood and blue steel , and i mounted my redfield reveloution 3x9 on it and loaded up some 160 grain accubonds over RL-22. I have a stainless hawkeye in .338 and it is outstanding. IF this one shoots as well as my .338 I will be very happy. I have lots of rifles but these 2 would be about all a guy would need in north america. Maybe a 20 inch .308 for woods hunting and you would be ready to go...tj3006

You'll be impressed with the 160 accubonds, great bullet for the 7mag. ----------------------------------------------------- Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. Proverbs 26-4 National Rifle Association Life Member

1st impressions are good. My load was a mild. i will up it a grain. The trigger is a little heavy. I improved the trigger on my .338 hawkeye with a wolf spring. Much to my delight I wrote the part number down in my load book. Will order another for this rifle. After getting it on paper and getting used to the trigger, i shot 2 groups right at 1 inch. thats at 109 paces off the hood of my truck. no complaints about the redfield scope either. might go for a vx3 3.5x10 latter but no hurry...tj3006
