What do folks think of $795 for the above rifle. It's in a solid 98-99% condition with a 24" barrel. It does not have open sights, but does have Redfield rings and bases. Since I will notbe using it for dangerous game is there anything with this gun in a push feed design? Thanks for your input. Old time lcmith

Seems overpriced to me. For a few $ more, you should be able to find a pre-64 M70 in 300 H&H. I bought mine for $800 three years ago. A 98% rifle.

IMO it's way overpriced.....like about $300 too much /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Winston Churchill

The Model 70XTR in .300 H&H I saw for sale about a month ago was priced at $600 and came with Leupold DD rings and bases. It was in almost perfect condition. The last one I bought about 4 years ago was in 98% condition and cost $550 complete with a Leupold Vari-X II 3-7 scope in Leupold DD rings and bases. I paid $400.00 for mine several years ago. It had been shot little if any. Best wood I have ever seen on a standard rifle.

Where else are you going to buy a factory 300 H&H for less? I have seven pre=64 rifles and one XTR. The pre=64 long actions were going for 700=800 at last Tulsa show. square shooter
