My load for 225gn Hornady Interbonds is 55.0gns 2206H with a C.O.L. 2.870" for just on 2700 fps. That was using CCI Large Rifle Mag primers.

Please just work up from a couple of grains below that, watching for the usual pressure signs...

Good luck with the rifle - they are great fun!

I was hoping to see the .375 Ruger necked to .338 and .308.

Not to be this time I guess.

Just wait. It's coming!

Second! Especially the .338

X3...
If your aim is true, you only cycle the bolt once!

Thanks MLG that is hotter than the Hogdon manual , so I will work up carefully . I was loadind some cases which are once-fired factory . I was surprised how loose the primer pockets were for Win. and Fed. 210 primers . Any thoughts as to whether the pressures are very high in the factory ammo expanding the pockets or have Hornady got the pocket size wrong . Never had this problem before in multiple cartridges .

Mark,

I got my start loads from this RealGuns website (see link below) in the table in Part 2. I used their max load of IMR 4895 which is the equivalent of 2206h. I started from a few grains below that. I found the Hogdon loads were way too low and I had poor accuracy with their max load.

I have not had any problems with primer pockets though - and I have deliberately loaded some of my cases now up to 4 times.

Work up from about 52 gns and see how it goes. In my experience, both the rcm and the wsms like a fairly stiff load to get good accuracy.

With that load the primers are starting to flatten slightly but not flow and there are no other signs of pressure.

Thanks again MLG , I will load a few hotter loads and see how I go . The 338RCM with a 225gn Nosler partition should be good for sambar in a very handy rifle .I have put realguns on my favourites .
