A like new M-7 stainless with synth stock caught my eye and ended up following me home. It is a 300 SAUM. A set of like new RCBS dies and a 100 new brass came with it. With a 22 in barrel this rifle should be sweet in thick bush or in a stand. Was thinking of working up a load with 150 or 165 gr Barnes TTSX bullets. Powder in the W760 , RL 17 and RL 19 should be good. With the 165 gr bullets should produce close to 3200 fps with the 150 and 3000 fps with the 165 gr. Curious what loads have performed well for other 300 SAUM owners. Thanks for any input.

My 300SAUM is a M700. For a factiry rifle it sure can shoot. Loves 180grain bullets. Not at home so no reference material with me.

I load my 300 SAUM with R-17 and 150 and 165 Barnes bullets. I get 3200 with the 150 and 3100 with the 165. Rifle is a M7 SS 22" barrel.

Thank you for that information. That will likely save me a pile of time. 3138 fps with a 165 gr is pretty impressive. I can see why it would be one of your favorite rifles.
