I'm thinking about buying a Howa Axiom in 308 for my son. I've read the stock on this rifle has some recoil dampening properties.

If anyone out there shoots one, I'd appreciate your feedback on this rifle's accuracy, recoil and overall quality.

I'm considering the same rifle in a 22-250. Did you end up buying the rifle? How do you like it? I've heard reviews that the stock tends to move horizontally when on a bipod and that the recoil system doesn't allow it to come straight back into your shoulder. Your thoughts would be very much sppreciated.
