A news release on their website says that Savage is re-introducing their model 10FCM as the 10FCM. Does this mark the return of the "Savage Scout" or is this just a marketing gimick?

Also when will they re-introduce the Model 99?

Forget the Scout for now. Get the 250 Savage and the 358 WCF in the 99 out. Both available in takedown option. dancing Packy sofa

I agree with the need for the return of the 99. I know the barrel nut is ugly but it would be great to have a 99 and a couple or three different barrels in 22-250, 7mm-08 and one more.

As a general rule, people are nuts!

ElCaballero. Good to hear from another Misery-ian. The Savage Scout would be good if I can get a barrel set up the same way as the 308, in 358 Winchester. That way I can go to the 308 in case I run out of 358 ammo. Packy

I bought one of the .308's when they first came out. Was looking for a light weight do-it-all rifle and it has fit the bill and then some. Would recomend another one to anyone.
