| you sure can....work up to a max of 47 grains..... and you should be about 2,700'/sec.

| It's a great powder in the 260 w/ 120gr so I don't see why it wouldn't work well in the 7-08 w/ 140-150gr too.

| If you do a Google search under Hodgdon, you can access their data for the 7mm-08. I think you will find that 4831 is too slow for the 139gr bullet. They do not list 4831 until they get to 154Gr bullets.
I'd suggest Varget or 4350 w/ a standard length barrel or 4895 if your barrel is a little slower. Kudude |

| i have loaded the 7-08 for about 15 years now, i like to use powders in the 4064, RL-15, varget. H-380, 4320. range.. i for one dont like high compressed loads i like to stay about 95%.. my lyman book shows 52 grs of RL-19. you cannot get 52 grs in a 7-08 case, it runs over the top, i stick with RL-15,, all with 140 gr. bullet. |

| I use 50.2gr of IMR4831 in the 7-08AI, but stick with 4350 in the standard 7-08 (as much as I can cram into the case). Both are very accurate. |
