There have been dozens of complaints of pass-thru shots using ballistic tip mags at short range. No bullet expansion or blood trails.

what's a ballistic tip mag?

I have a Rem 700 in .270WSM. Got it because it sat on the gun shops shelf for several years and she gave me a good deal to get it out of the shop.
I am not entirely pleased with how it feeds even after I did some modifications to the front of the box magazine but she shoots like a dream! For the style of deer hunting I do a fast follow up shot is seldom important so it don't need to feed like butter anyhow.
I am getting 3030 fps over my PACT chronograph with 150 grain Nosler BT's and Retumbo powder. Now to kill something with her.
In my book the .270WSM did fill a spot that was not filled in the .270 caliber line up. A short round and something between the .270 Win and the .270 Wby.

I have a remington 700 in 7mm saum. It has met every expectation I had. I like it a lot and will be keeping it. From what I've read a lot of benchrest shooters are using it too.
