Johan, Jeffery:

I plainly agree with you. Having a R 93 chambered for a cartridge as the .338 Lapua Magnum is indeed tempting one's fate. We have had enough accidents with magnum cartridges by now. I only hope that the owner will not burden the social security system later.

As to the problem described: that the striker of the R 93 can move forward even when the bolt handle is not totally forward, is quite normal. The same is true for the Swiss straight-pull rifles. However, in such a case the striker normally should have only enough energy to dent the primer, not to fire it. The discrepancy between the two bolts does indeed puzzle me.

Gentlemen
This is two tree shot series from my TRG-42 mind you that this is at 200 Meters and that it is not a 5,6x55 but a real powerfull caliber that can make a 1500 m shoot ! If the shooter is able.

Cheers,
