I was getting ready to mount a set of Weaver style bases on a new Savage 111 with the acra trigger when I noticed the height of the bases do not line up. My literature says to use #46 for the front and #61 for the rear. A quick look in the Brownells catalog shows that Warne offers a different part number for the rear base for the acra trigger model. Advice would be appreciated.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Snowwolfe,

The bases for the pre Accu-Trigger models are indeed different. I have 3 pre-AT models and they have rounded surface on the front of the action and a semi flat surface on the rear. I believe the newer models are round front and rear but, I may be wrong.

You probably need to get a newer chart or just call Weaver and they'll tell you which bases you need.

Have a Good One!

Snowwolfe,

You need #46 for both the front and the rear on the Accu-trigger Models instead of #46 & #61 that the older ones require.

Hope that Helps.
